The technology needs to be better (higher resolution) Sure, on the low end Samsung VR and others could use a resolution bump (mainly GPU constrained there currently), but room scale VR with the Vive is high res enough that it is acceptable and fully immersive in most cases. > 3. But today you can go into a Microsoft store and try VR and have a great experience, and there are quite a few high quality, immersive games that you can blow 10+hrs playing. |
Sure it's "good enough" for many games, but it's also not something I'm going to spend a large chunk of money on. I'd much rather wait a generation or two.
