I know it's kinda late,but there is one more way to find if a site is using Cloudflare

append /cdn-cgi/trace to the URL and you will some debug info

Ex:

https://cloud.digitalocean.com/cdn-cgi/trace

https://news.ycombinator.com/cdn-cgi/trace
