I've been programming professionally for 15 years (C# & SQL Server) and I've encountered exactly one Algebra problem in my entire career. Now some jobs require the most advanced math on the planet. For example the guys that developer the SQL Server query optimizer and absolute math gods and they have to be. However for 95% (my own made up statistic) of software development jobs advanced math is not a requirement. |
