This is further compounded by how difficult it is to build useful abstractions in C, meaning that much real-world C consists of common patterns, and reviewers focus on recognizing common patterns, which increases the chances that small things slip through code review. Agreed that these little examples aren't too difficult, especially if you have experience, but I certainly do not envy Linus Torvalds' job. |
