I think they pursue a similar approach to programming or implementing programming logic as DRAKON.

If you believe their website it has been used in the Russian Space Program.

But I have to agree with you, this DeepUI looks a PITA to work with in comparison to DRAKON.

Visual languages are very diverse. Drakon and DeepUI have very little in common beside both being visual.
