ACLU defends the American civil liberties, not only the American civil liberties of American citizens. You seem to assume that the American civil rights apply only to citizens. That's a peculiar interpretation, and openly against Supreme Court doctrine. The Supreme Court, on the 14th amendment (Plyler v. In that particular case the court was referring to illegal aliens, not permanent residents, who logically would be at least as protected. |
