In mainland terms that makes sense but in Hawaiian culture it does not. They do not have money. Their wealth is in the community, sharing, fishing rights and land rights. They don't believe in buying each other out. Sharing is a big part of their culture and is part of aloha. Our mainland system is being imposed on them. |
