Those are policies enacted by politicians, and those politicians are popularly elected by the people in elections. The people of the US absolutely are racist xenophobes; they've proven it by their voting patterns over and over, especially with the latest election. They're just good at hiding it from you when you talk to them in person. The real racism comes out in the voting booth. |
