Oh my god, you've described every single one of my issues with Python packaging. The whole setup.py/setup.cfg situation really is ridiculous. Having to import the __version__, read() the README, no markdown support on pypi, MANIFEST / MANIFEST.in files, tox.ini, what a mess. |
