Embrace being a generalist. I myself have gone through a similar dilemma, being a generalist allows you to make informed decisions that sit between two disciplines. When the problem concerns both sides you ARE the expert. This is a specialist skill in itself. If you are looking for something specific I'd highly recommend working in R&D this will give you the opportunity to work in a role where being a generalist really helps. |
