I am not updated so just asking: did they solve the problem related to not passing even low values needed for color accessibility tests?

Bootstrap 3 launched with a handful of low-contrast default colours. Those got fixed a while ago, but that makes Bootstrap 3 adhere to WCAG etc. I don't know.

At any rate, the colours are parameterised, so supply your own.
