There are plenty of good games out there that don't go the IAP route, but they're pretty rare on mobile platforms - this is one of the major reasons I prefer PC gaming. I've even had games that I purchased (Galaxy on Fire 2) that didn't have IAP go 'free to play' and add IAP after the fact, making my fully purchased version now loaded up with advertisements. I simply don't purchase or play games on mobile platforms anymore, and neither do my children. |

I mostly play on PC but it's not totally unproblematic either. There are so many games but not too many good ones.
But the vast majority of the games industry produces mobile pay to win games because it is more lucrative. I would welcome a change.
