Other languages don't do it? What do you think C99 is? Or C++14? They're not "a single page", because they're ratified standards and so they're books and so they're PDFs, but--more importantly, who cares? Who doesn't specify their language, if they specify their language, in a single document? Heck, why does this surprise you in the first place? Why do you think it's called ECMAscript? |
