I don't know of any good books on the consequences (so I'd be curious too) but here is a good report if you want to know more about the possible population scenarios: http://webarchive.iiasa.ac.at/Admin/PUB/Documents/IR-08-022.... It's pretty shocking to see how quickly and how far total population would fall if global birth rates eventually decline to the level Europe is at today. |
