These days there's a great book "Competitive Programming" by Halim, 3rd edition (2013) [1]. Very well written. Amazon states there's only a paperback edition but you can visit the book's page and order its hardcover version. However, I'm linking to Amazon for reviews.

Please explain how can I make such a link? I wasn't able to find anything except a 'Share' button in the right corner. And I struggle on this only using amazon.
I opened the shortlink and removed the "/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_0MPsybGT0GSSE" section after checking that the product page loaded without it.
Unfortunately the book's official website https://cpbook.net/ is currently returning the following message:

> I (Steven) is currently experiencing server upgrading issue (today is 30 Nov 2016)... https://cpbook.net will be revived soon when I am done with Semester 1 teaching in NUS next week.

The good news is, using the Wayback Machine, I was able to extract the link for purchasing the hardcover book:

Pro tip: Use the coupon code FWD15 for an additional 15% off making the hardcover cheaper than the Amazon paperback price.

You can still use the old site for now https://sites.google.com/site/stevenhalim/
I highly recommend buying the "large print" version, it's the size of most textbooks.

The smaller version is nice for reading while on the go/during a commute but not as nice for when you want to have it on your desk as a reference while working through problems (which you'll be doing a lot with this book). With the small version I have to find things to weigh down both sides just to keep it open on my desk so I can glance at it.
