The energy use numbers are kind of silly. Nuclear is ~20% of our electricity gen, so 1/4th of that is 1/20th or 5% of US electricity aka not really that big a deal. Energy wise getting to an office is generally far more expensive. Further they talk about BTU for heating ignoring heat pumps generally being over 100% efficient and running on electricity. |
