Or, move to SF or LA where "winter" means a few months of scattered showers once a week and occasionally days where a hoodie is more comfortable than just a t-shirt.
Some of us like a real winter season, and I'll also note that a hard freeze kills or suppresses a bunch of bugs. Are big scorpions a thing in LA? (I wouldn't expect them to be so in SF, probably too wet.)
