Many people wouldn't be able to distinguish from beef. I had it once in Quebec, much to the amusement of a jerk waiter. It's not tough, just very lean and thus prone to overcooking. Honestly it tasted pretty good, I thought it was grass fed beef. Venison is a lot gamier. I only like it in stews. |
