The HN algorithm changed very recently, which was one of the reasons I had the idea to take a closer look at the Reddit data. HN, within the past few months, will highlight new comments within the first 2 slots even on busy threads. I would perform the same analysis on HN data to confirm if I could. (HN does not expose comment scores) |
