> Programmers have no standard certifications, and in fact are often actively hostile to standardization and formal training. I hold the unpopular opinion that we need those things. The current state of things is that we're not much more than kids hacking away on computers with minimal supervision. I'd love to see most (if not all) software written with the rigor required to write safety-critical systems. |
