So that's a really interesting statement... He has an B.S. in physics and an Honorary doctorate in Aerospace Engineering, and an Honorary doctorate of Engineering from Yale.

So I'm not sure what exactly it takes to count as an aerospace engineer, but it seems like he has both the bit of paper, and the employment history.
