Just use "brew services", it couldn't be easier.

Correct me if I'm wrong, "brew services" work for launchd services installed with homebrew only. But Marathono allows you to run any arbitrary commands.

I thought that was a frontend for brew services. Apparently it's not.

There is BitBar and it works great with brew services and a lot of other things.
