Seattle just completed a much needed light rail extension north to the UW, and it's gorgeous. Construction only took three years, it works incredibly well, and it's not some ugly building meant to hide from view. It ends up adding a lot to the campus. It's possible, but folks in NYC do seem more used to political inertia and cynical resignation. (http://www.washington.edu/news/2016/03/25/geology-and-art-co...) |
