From my perspective The Wire had a lot of Freshman psychology, philosophy, and civics mixed in with pauses where characters would stare at one another and let silence pass between them. Mr. Robot is clearly a mature show to a subset of an audience; Rami Malek even won an Emmy, this year. Perhaps you are not hearing the music. In that case, I hope you do. : ) |
