"Geeks" are clearly aware of both the upside of autonomous vehicles, and the downsides presented by advanced, always-connected tech and the monitoring that comes with it. Thus, the advocacy for privacy, strong encryption, no backdoors, and the fight against government surveillance is the responsible approach to advocating for a bright, advanced future where tech serves us, rather than consumes us.
