You're right, the blog need to be updated :) you're not the first one to highlight the "V8" misunderstanding. Will definitely call the 9 "V9.0" :)

You misunderstand. For V9 it won't matter, there's only confusion because "V8" already evokes other meaning. I don't think "V9" has the same issues.
