I'm really curious - I've heard no one mention the concept of "hell-banning". Basically, instead of outright banning destructive users, you make all of their content only visible to themselves. It reminds me of the phrase "in space, no one can hear you scream". Eventually, after a while they stop posting. If they don't notice this for a while, they waste efforts posting content that no one will ever see. It's a bit like an automatic cold shoulder from the community.
