Wow: "If you have to ask, you're doing it wrong." This is a ridiculous statement.

First, pedantically, they're the same words you used initially so they're not really "other words."

Second, someone at OP's org thought they should be included in the process and OP is asking for tips on how they can maximize the value they generate. This is exactly the situation I'd love to see if I were OP's manager.
