I've got to say, I think Satoshi picking the Base58[0] subset instead of B64 was a very smart choice for Bitcoin and it would make sense to adopt it elsewhere as well (as far as anywhere that the string needs to be parsed by a human-eye). [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base58 |
