My employer previously supplied me with a Lenovo 440s, with a low res (1440x900) display, a dual core i5, and an inability to power the 4K monitor I had at home above 30hz, that I throughly despised. When I moved over to a new team I got given my current rMBP, which I enjoy considerably more. I think that moving forwards an Apple laptop is going to be a hard requirement before I work for an organisation. It's not that other companies don't make good laptops, it's that Apple doesn't make bad laptops, so I know if the company has a policy of buying them I'm guaranteed to get something good, instead of the POS Lenovo that the IT department bought. |
