And, in fact, I'm not at all upset about the original comment - I totally get where the skepticism comes from. Polish and substance are too often uncorrelated when it comes to science in the media. I think it's important not to assume they are anti-correlated though, because then we start discouraging scientists from trying to reach people beyond the academic community.
