I think for the kinds of applications that the poster was talking about (CAD, FEA, etc...), there's no concept of the department or business being a Windows shop or a macOS shop any more than it being an Intel shop or an AMD shop. The OS is just infrastructure and not that interesting. It's the applications that are key and if some application requires a Windows machine, that's what they buy. |
