A gap in the past is probably not a problem, but a gap between your last job and the job you are applying for is a big red flag. Being unemployed puts you at a disadvantage because it makes you seem less desirable. It's not much of a stretch to image a hiring manager seeing this and thinking: - What happened that caused this person to leave their previous job? Were they fired or laid off because they were underperforming? - Why has it taken them 3-4 months to reach us? Have they been applying to a bunch of places and they were rejected from all of them? |
