"as of now, Monsanto and co. are engineering their seeds so that it's impossible to keep part of the harvest and use it to grow the next one (as peoples have done for thousands of years" Seed production has been a separate specialty for well over 100 years. No large-scale farmer "keeps part of the harvest and uses it to grow the next one", and the small-scale "organic" (or whatever) farmers who do do that don't buy commercial seeds in the first place. |
