Major overreaction on this thread. Companies often incentives their employees to create patents. Often patents are use for protection purposes even if they never make it into the companies tech. For Example: Company X sues Apple stating they infringe on a patent. Apple turns around and throws 10 patents back that infringe on their tech. |
