But the 1/8" TRS/TRRS jack (headphone / headphone-with-mic jack) is analog when it's used for analog output (headphones/line-out) or input (microphone/line-in). The DAC is on the device side, not the accessory side. Perhaps you're referring to the SP/DIF "hiding" inside the 1/8 jack of many Macs? |
