Done once, it can be replicated. Even worse, if we reach human-level AI, it can be done by the AIs themselves. It is also anthropomorphising machines. They don't need to be malevolent. They just need not to care, which is much easier. Should an ultra-intelligent machine decide to convert New York into a big solar power facility, it wouldn't necessarily care to move the humans out first. |
