Because they don't have their name on it. Better ten rapes, one of which the mayor is involved in rescuing, than no rapes at all. You can't claim responsibility for there not being any rapes unless you freak everyone out and are seen doing something, loudly. I agree that city officials are not as effective on their own as they are when surrounded by experts. I wonder who on the mayor's staff would advise him on tech issues. |
