I use notebooks for general notes, ideas, sketches, todo lists. Also make notes on stuff that I finally gotten to work, e.g. scripts, etc. Early in a project I use a pre-punched pad and file the pages into a ring binder, under categories, topics. Once the project is well underway, I tend to use those pages to write up the detailed documentation in files which are stored in the same directory hierarchy as the source and other files. |
