It's specified in the article that new employees (who do not have an employee account yet) are expected to provide their League username so it can be inspected. This has nothing to do with "representing the company via an official channel"; this is directly an invasion of privacy of employees' private lives, for the purpose of weeding out those who don't "fit the company culture". |
