Apparently the "essence of sci-fi" is people saying "I don't know what you're talking about" to each other.

I notice one of the inputs was The Phantom Menace. This film's dialogue was better.

At least film/tv sci-fi, which has to constantly find excuses for the characters to explain the differences between the actual present and its future. Print science fiction doesn't have to put that kind of exposition between quotation marks.

Also, as opposed to film/tv, print doesn't have to assume that you forgot it all every 22-120 pages.

Also, maybe one could get a square at some point.
