Is it likely that someone is actually going to look at your password in a breach that may contain several million accounts? On top of that, if it even gets cracked (if it was stored and encrypted properly in the first place).

If you're really personally targeted, then I agree with you. But for a casual person it's probably an easier thing to convince them of doing this instead of installing a password manager.
