Nice! Reminds me of Spence & Apperley's bifocal display ('fisheye') calendar [1], but on a single axis. I remember thinking when I saw that in an HCI course a couple of years ago that despite being over 30 years old it was a better calendar app UX than anything available that I was aware of!
