For security updates, yes. But this is not a security update. Upgrades that completely change the UI, alter the set of programs that are capable of running on the platform (potentially disabling critical software), and add new processes that do things behind the scenes that you might not want (like monitoring/tracking etc.), and may not even be compatible with your hardware are another thing entirely. Updates or upgrades should only be forced when backwards compatibility is preserved. |
