Yes. It doubles Chinese or Spanish. But again, we are in 2016.
As a civilization we have a global communication system. But we can not understand each other. We are 7 billion people. 200 million speak english as a secondary language and 300/400 million as main language. With this numbers, don't you think that it will be better to find a language that is fine for everybody? Or when someone wants get into the international arena he/she must to learn English which will take years? |

Where did you get that number? The sources I've seen are 1+ billion
I'm not saying everyone should speak english. But it seems if things carry on the way they are, everyone will speak english, even if it isn't the best "choice"
