Perhaps, especially if you mean that surge pricing will be above regular taxi pricing. That said, I'm fine with that. I live in a suburban area and getting a (traditional) taxi is complicated and getting a car service is both complicated and expensive. Uber is simple and convenient and I'm fine with paying (some) premium for that. |
