What's crazy is that the article doesn't even mention the effective lost lives in the sheer number of hours people waste by getting to the airport so early. If you assume 75 years x 365 days x 24 hours, that's 657,000 hours in a fairly typical life. Millions of travelers waiting an hour or more each = a lot of "lives" wasted standing in line. |
