Disable third-party cookies in your browser's privacy and permissions settings and this concern (mostly) goes away.

JavaScript/CSS still happily leak information. https://panopticlick.eff.org/ and CSS click tracking (can’t seem to turn up links right now)
You don't think google mines their access logs then?
I'm sure Google mines everything they can get their hands on, but without third-party cookies, they can no longer identify you as uniquely. For all they know, it could be 1 or 100 people behind that NAT IP address.
