This is exactly why I think Scala is the JVMs C++: a powerful, but highly complex language with every feature imaginable crammed into it. I think it was Gilad Bracha that remarked how Scala's type system is nearly Turing complete (maybe in the meantime, it actually is). I always strive for simplicity, and Clojure fits the bill much better, at least imho. |
