Amazingly, yes. The whole thing disassembles by unscrewing, and as the nubs are separate components you could replace them with whatever you wanted. Given that both TrackPoints and the nubs use a square peg, it might even just fit without an adapter. However it still wouldn't work the same - a TrackPoint responds to force, while the nubs actually move. |
